"[Nerdanel] retired to her father's house; but when it became clear that Fëanor and his sons would leave Valinor for ever, she came before him before the host started on its northward march, and begged that Fëanor should leave her the two youngest, the twins, or at least one of them. He replied: "Were you a true wife as you had been till cozened by Aulë, you would keep them all, for you would be coming with us. If you desert me you desert also all of our children. For they are determined to go with their father." Then Nerdanel was angry and she answered: "You will not keep all of them. One at least will never set foot on Middle-earth." "Take your evil omens to the Valar who will delight in them," said Fëanor. "I defy them." So they parted."
Begging and betrayal.
( Begging )
Title: Learn To Say Good-bye
Rating: R (to be safe, very light. Could probably be PG-13, but I rate higher to be safe.)
Warnings: Sex, not terribly graphic.
Summary: The last time. (Fëanor/Nerdanel, barely more than a drabble)
Then they are pressed together, two living, breathing persons, almost paradoxical.
Title: The Broken Throne
Warnings: Disturbing themes.
Summary: A showdown. (Galadriel and Fëanor)
Yes, it is madness in his eyes. The ill I feel is physical and may soon rise from my stomach to my throat to his floor.
Title: Stones of Seeing 3 : Elrond Peredhel
Characters: Elrond, Nerdanel
Summary: Third in my trilogy exploring the history of the palantiri, which also happens to fit rather nicely with the character of the month challenge. Early in the Fourth Age Elrond pays a visit.
Warnings: Mentions of arguments and an oblique reference to Maedhros's conception. No details on either of that, though. A little teenage angst.
Genre: Romance, I guess.
Summary: Nerdanel and Fëanor, the earliest days.
Author's Introduction: I don't think that there's anything that should be mentioned from my side, except perhaps that the story is rahter 'layered', but you'll notice that while reading. I'd welcome constructive criticism (no beta, unless there are glaring errors I did not catch) to this piece as it was rather experimental.
Since Dawn mentioned that old stories could also be entered into the challenge, here's one. I wrote this to participate in the Ring*Con writing contest and thought I might share... hope you'll enjoy it, even though it is a little weird and/or abstract.
(My apologies if some of you know it already, since I posted this story in my journal a few weeks ago.)
Disclaimer: J.R.R. Tolkien en káre eldain. I’m just playing.

Acknowledgments: Thanks, oloriel, for the encouragement, and dawn_felagund for the feedback in my journal. :)
I'm considering writing a piece about Feanor and Nerdanel. Can someone give me a run-down of the names their seven sons were given at birth, and the meanings of those names? Also, did they have any other children (like daughters)?
Author: Uli/ford_of_bruinen (email@example.com )
Characters: Nerdanel, Fëanor, Maedhros
Disclaimer: No characters in this belong to me, nor am I making any profit from the writing of this story.
Archive: LJ only for now all others please ask.
Feedback: I am open to all feedback both good and bad, if you find linguistic, grammatical or plot errors that you want to point out then please do so, I will be eternally grateful for all feedback given.
Summary: Nerdanel is struggling to come to terms with being a mother.
Characters: Elros, Vardamir (Elros's son), Nerdanel
Summary: At the end of his reign Elros receives a visitor
Author's note: I'm planning two more stories on the history of the palantiri, but I'm not sure whether they'd be eligible for posting here (if I get them done). One is set during the last days of Numenor, the other is in Valinor at the begining of the Fourth Age, (but the only LOTR character is Elrond). Guidance would be welcome!
Warnings: Explicit marital Nerdanel/Feanor sex.
Summary: On Feanor's fiftieth begetting day, he ponders the gifts that he has received.
Author's Introduction: This piece was written for Jenni's (digdigil) birthday. Last week, I was accused by some of being teasing in my chapter of Another Man's Cage, where Feanor offers Nerdanel a "romp in the river" and...nothing happens. I hope this piece will remedy my evil of getting fangurls all worked up for nothing.
And, of course: Happy birthday, Jenni!
I will be cross-posting this story to the house_of_feanor community. Apologies to those who therefore receive it twice.
As always, I love comments--both good and bad--especially as I have not had much time to live with and revise this story. Enjoy! :)

So here it is. I'm cross-posting it to SWG so you can delete it if you want from there. It's called:
