February Challenge: Crackuary
Admin Post:This month's challenge prompts originated from the premise: "This idea is completely unworkable, but I bet I can make it work." With that philosophy in mind (if so dignified a word can be used here), we offer you a bingo card with the most bizarre, silly, and crackiest prompts we could conjure.
( Bingo Card and Text-Only Prompts )In order to participate, you can choose any prompt or prompts from the card above and create a fanwork using the prompt(s). There are no numbers drawn for this challenge.
Responses do not have to be crackfic. Many of the prompts can provoke serious as well as silly responses!
If you complete a row of prompts (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal), you will receive a special stamp. You can complete a row within a single fanwork or across multiple fanworks. Please help your mods out by indicating in your story notes if you have completed a row in a fanwork, or contacting us if you need the stamp for a row completed with multiple fanworks.
In order to receive a stamp for your fanwork, your response must be posted to the archive on or before 10 March 2020. For complete challenge guidelines, see the Challenges page on our website.
February also overlaps with a couple of non-SWG events that we offer stamps for. First of all is Back to Middle-earth Month (B2MeM). We encourage our challenge participants to use B2MeM prompts in their challenge entries. If you use a B2MeM 2020 prompt in your challenge entry, you will also receive the B2MeM stamp in your collection. Please remember that B2MeM begins on March 1 and do not post B2MeM fanworks before the start of the event.
Next, it is Femslash February! Include a femslash pairing in your fanwork and receive a special stamp. Please help out the mods by clearly labeling your fanwork (in the summary or story notes) as for Femslash February or as containing a femslash pairing.
And lastly, February is also home to International Fanworks Day. Any challenge participant who posts a fanwork to an SWG space during the month of February (whether a challenge entry or not!) will receive the IFD stamp.
Special thanks this month to Raiyana for not only suggesting this month's challenge but helping with the prompts!
