A Brief Extension and Update on Birthday Cards

ETA: Birthday cards are now closed.

Initially, the birthday card form was going to be taken down today. However, I am going to be working on the newsletter this morning and have friends coming over in the evening, which means I will not realistically be doing much of anything with birthday cards today. Because of this, I am going to leave the page up for one more day, until August 2. If you missed sending all that you wanted to send, you still have a little more time.

Please take care when sending cards to choose a recipient from the dropdown. In the rush to send cards in the past few days, several were sent without recipients. If I can figure out who it goes to from the message, I will assign it to that person. If I can figure out the sender, I will contact that person for clarification. But I did receive several that I could not figure out, that were unsigned, but had lovely messages that now will not be able to be sent. So as you rush to finish, please don't forget to take a deep breath and complete all steps. :)

Finally, to give an estimate as to when the albums will be sent out: We have received hundreds of requests over the past few days. I plan to work in earnest tomorrow to begin clearing the backlog. Hopefully, albums will be ready to send out by early to the middle of next week. If anything arises that delays us further, I will let everyone know.

So much hard work on your part, Dawn. You are really a fandom treasure (I have said on a few of my cards--there are a surprising number of those--but you really, really, really are at the top of the list). This is a wonderful project. I will send a few more today--not dozens just a few I intended to send from the beginning and did not get around to doing.

Hi Dawn. Thanks soooo much for all you do for us. I sent a bunch of cards but since I did it over the month and foolishly didn't write anything down, I'm sure I forgot some people or sent some twice. Will there be any opportunity to send cards once the albums are up? Or does it not work that way? Also I wanted to send cards to all SWG's tech support but only remembered a couple of names and couldn't find a list anywhere on the newsletter. Can you post a list? (Sorry to be more trouble.) The cards were a wonderful idea.

Thank you! I'd written it off in my mind because there wasn't a chance to sit with it till this weekend. Now I've had time to work my way down the list and hope I didn't miss anyone. (though Elfscribe's question about tech support is a good one, I didn't send any because I didn't want to leave someone out)
