A double-drabble in response to the SWG Back to Middle-earth Month challenge, day 8, “contrast beauty/ugliness.” (G-rated)

It’s a story of young Finwean firebrands in love (Aredhel/Celegorm). I knew I would eventually get around to writing something like this. I’ve always imagined that Aredhel and Celegorm shared a youthful romance in Valinor. ( Read on. )

Because real life is keeping me from appreciating Celegorm as much as I would like to, I've dug up a story written a while ago, part of the "Friends, Cousins, Lovers" series, which you can find in my LJ, should you be interested in reading more of my writing.

Warnings: Heterosexual intercourse, though not overly graphic. Very mild and brief slash innuendo.

SUMMARY: Curufin's children are born. The killing of Finwë, the destruction of the Trees, and the crossing of the Helcaraxë all take place during this time, although this story is not about them. This chapter ends with the death of Fëanor, yet it is not about him. Enough said. I cannot give any more information lest it be spoilers.

Here is the first chapter of a love story involving the three friends Celegorm, Curufin and Aredhel.

TITLE OF STORY: THE MARRING OF BLISS
CHAPTER TITLE: The Three Adventurers

WARNINGS: Oh, you know me. Nothing in this chapter, but there will be warnings for sex and violence later on.
SUMMARY/DESCRIPTION: In this chapter, Celegorm, Curufin and Aredhel, the three greatest of friends who share a love of riding horses, find it a bit of a struggle to get away and enjoy their favourite pastime. Celegorm receives a warning from his father about keeping young elf maidens out all night, but Curufin begins to realize that there is more than just friendship in his feelings towards Aredhel.
