If it's any consolation, you're way ahead of me! :D I wrote part of Day Nine today ...

This is chilling. You capture their childish fear so well, the irrational (or maybe not so irrational?) fear of monsters; the sensory details are excellent. I can't get those rough hands out of my mind ... *shudder*
