Summary: A woman not of Arda but in the position of being able to change Arda’s past, finds herself becoming an integral part of it instead. Deals with some moral issues and some Eldarin social issues as well.

This Chapter: Ariella is faced with yet another unexpected and difficult healing.  She suffers an emotional collapse after all she has been through with and receives comfort from an unlikely source. We also get a explanation for the title of the story.

This Chapter: After having taken on the healers of Gondolin, Ariella faces off with one of the loremasters and must deal with more prejudice against her for supposedly being a former resident of Doriath. Also another "interesting" situation involving Glorfindel and Lhûnedhel, and finally, a declaration of mutual "interest".
