Middle-earth Olympics: Team Registration Open

The Summer Olympics are almost here, and we've decided to hold our own "games," Tolkien fanworks-style! Our July challenge will be Middle-earth Olympics and will feature a collection of prompts themed around the Summer Olympic events. As always, individual participants are welcome, but this month, we will also feature a team component with special prompts that can only be done in collaboration with other creators. We will also have several live events, including opening and medal ceremonies to kick off and close out the challenge.

Have you ever wanted to trampoline as a Teler? Play football as a Finwion? Handball as a Haradrim? Registrations for national teams are currently open on our site! What does it mean to register a national team? Your team will be open for others to join and collaborate around the month's challenge. The person who registers the team becomes the team captain (though you can request the mods to transfer this responsibility to a teammate at a later date if you choose) and will communicate with their fellow teammates. Your team will have the option of having a channel on our Discord to discuss, plan, and socialize together.

A list of teams you may join is coming soon, as is the post with challenge details. Teams must be registered no later than July 11. Open sign-ups for teams begins July 12. Prompts for the challenge open on July 15.
