I think all were pretty catastrophic, especially the Nirnaeth *restrains a bristling Celegorm (since he fought so bravely in them)* And it is about Battles on Beleriand, the first with the Valar was not particulary Beleriand, neither was the last since Beleriand was gone ^-^ like, you know, down on the ocean floor ;)
He doesn't die in the battle, I guess you just made a short cut in the sentence, as I remember he rides to Angband to duel Morgoth after the battle.
