silwritersguild | MEFA 2007 announcement: hard-to-reach-authors

The Middle-earth Fanfiction Awards are well underway, with lots of wonderful stories already nominated. However, we're having a hard time reaching some of the them. Perhaps you can help.

Below are a list of authors who have had stories nominated, but (at the time I compiled this list) have not replied to any emails sent to them. This often means that the email provided for that author is wrong, or the message was filtered as spam. It's not, but since we're talking about an awards program, some emails treat our messages as spam.

If you know any of the authors below, please have them email mefasupport(at)gmail(dot)com about their nominated stories. Also have them add that address to the list of addresses their email "trusts" (i.e., never treats as spam.

Authors, if you have replied to an email about these awards in the last few days, everything is probably okay. It can take a day or two for me to come up with this list and have it posted where you're reading it. Still, it's probably best to email me at mefasupport(at)gmail(dot)com to make sure everything is moving along.

Nominations are still being accepted through July 15. If you're interested in nominating your favorite stories, join the MEFAwards Yahoo group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MEFAwards/). This is a low-volume listserv where you can read award announcements and ask questions about the awards. Once you join you will be given a username and password to our website (http://www.mefawards.net/MEFA2007/) where you can nominate up to twenty pieces, either by yourself or any other author of Tolkien fanfic. So do feelfree to nominate your favorite stories, and if you know how to reach any of the above authors, please give them a nudge.
