Beta request

(Is it allowable to post beta requests here? If not, I'll take this down.)

I'm looking for a beta to read over the fic I've written for femgenficathon - the challenge is to write a non-romantic story about canonical women (and I highly recommend reading the archives - this is my first time doing it and I joined because I was blown away by some of the old fics). I think my spelling and grammar are passable (although any feedback is of course welcome), I'm more concerned about how the story flows and whether the plot makes sense.

Title: Nightfall in Doriath
Characters: Nimloth, Dior, Celeborn, the Feanorians
Word count: ~5200
Rating: PG-13
Genre: genfic, drama/tragedy

EDIT: allie_meril informs me that the final submission date is actually the 1st of October, so that gives me some room. Sorry for the confusion.

The most important thing is that the final date for submission to femgenficathon is the 1st of October, so speed is of the essence. Please comment below and I'll email the fic to you.

Hi there! I'm not volunteering for the beta (sorry, I have too many fics of my own!), but I thought I'd correct a misunderstanding: the final date of submission to femgenficathon is October 1st, and not the 15th of August. You have a good amount of time to find a beta for your fic.

Good luck, and I look forward to reading about Nimloth and Dior! My very first fanfic was about Nimloth, so I have a special regard for her. :)

Thanks for the correction, I was getting quite worried. (Of course, it's my own fault for leaving the writing of the fic to what I thought was the last minute.)

I'll post it here when it's finished. I like Nimloth too, and it's said that she doesn't get much attention from the fandom - there are more fics about Nimloth the White Tree of Numenor than Nimloth the Queen of Doriath.

If it is the plot and flow you want looking at, I could for you if you wish, since that is what I like in stories ( I'll overlook the odd typo, etc if the story is good ) I can't promise I'm any good, but I could give you feedback and you do have time to find a proper beta.
