Uh oh! Day 10's prompt is mistakenly a duplicate of Day 8 on the B2MeM page on the site!

An attempt to prove that just sometimes, place does matter.

Aaand we have reached the point at which I begin to explore parts of the Tolkien fandom I've never written in before. (That's right, I never wrote Hobbit fic - until now!)

Admittedly, it's just a drabble, but still. ;) (http://livingshapes.livejournal.com/21769.html)

Title – The Return of the Wanderer
Author: Linda Hoyland
Characters/Pairing: Aragorn
Rating: G
Warnings: none
Book/Source: LOTR book-verse
Disclaimer - These characters all belong to the estate of J.R.R. Tolkien. This story was written for pleasure and not for financial gain.

Aragorn paused as he came in sight of the last homely house. A generation had passed since he last had returned to the place he still thought of as home. Long had he journeyed and much had he seen; wonders and horrors that he had not so much as dreamed of when he set out.

The inexperienced young chieftain had become a great leader of men, healer and warrior both worthy of the heart of the fairest of maidens.

Much had he suffered and much had he learned. Aragorn had left Rivendell as a boy and returned as a man.

thank you! :) being brutally honest, i've written this before but not in drabble form, so i'm guilty of hyphens and recycling old concepts!

I found this prompt surprisingly difficult to work with, but this is what I came up with in the end:

Endurance (http://watersandwilds.livejournal.com/54794.html): Turgon reflects while attempting not to freeze.
