Day Fifteen--The Ides of March
In T.S. Eliot's poem "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock," the speaker in the poem poses the following question:
"Do I dare disturb the universe?" Over the course of the poem, the speaker answers this question. Show a scene or experience in a character's life where she or he answers this question. |

Date: 2009-03-17 01:08 am (UTC)I love this piece. The metaphor between writing and the life of a newborn is apt and intriguing. The recognition of the power of writing to both uplift and improve society, as well as to complicate and mire it, and Rumil's realization that he must let his creation fulfill its own destiny ... simply wonderful. This is an imaginative and most appropriate reply to the prompt!
I'm sorry it kept you awake, but I really enjoyed the results! *selfish* ;)
And you're very welcome ... the effort has been more than worth the stories and artwork people have come up with. :)
