Honestly, I'm not sure that it ally fits the prompt. Ghan did not set out to teach in this piece--what he was hoping to achieve was to convince the audience, though I think he does end up teaching some things. Does that count? I can probably write something else... :-S

Re-reading the Akallabeth, the point that was driven home to me was that the mightiest of the Valar needed to learn a lesson. Perhaps especially the mightiest of the Valar.
