I have at last reached the part of the story where it begins to diverge significantly from 'The Silmarillion' !

Descendents of Finwë Part 1: Fëanor

While I was at work yesterday I got very bored, so I went through the 'Quenta Silmarillion' and looked up every reference to Finwë's desendents (all 15 of them), then put them all in a nice wordpad file sorted by character and event. (Yes, my PhD is incredibly dull and I am that much of a canatic - or rather I like to know what it says in canon even if I then ignore it!) For some there isn't much to mention, but others - like today's featured Finwian, Fëanor - said and did an awful lot. I had forgotten several of the quotes that I found, and others that I thought I remembered turned out to be from HoME.

I shall be posting one part each day (real life permitting!) until it's all here. If you notice any omissions, please let me know and I'll edit it. I will be including random HoME points of interest in the bullet points at the top, mostly for minor characters, but they will clearly be marked as such.
