Amid major life events, foreign travel, and prolonged Internet outages at work (that would be me ... more than two weeks now >:^|), the B2MeM mods have been slowly moving forward in getting ready for this year's event. Earlier, we polled the community about preferences for theme, among other things. As luck would have it, we had a draw: a perfect tie between the scavenger hunt and alphabet themes for this year's event. We have decided to combine them by using the scavenger hunt format, with the prompts inspired by the alphabet.
So ... we bring you B2MeM 2013 Scavenger Hunt: Expedition in the Abecedarium! The guidelines have been posted on our community:

As always, we welcome all members of the Tolkien fandom. All formats are welcome--and we've once again provided an option for readers and reviewers to participate--as well as all genres and ratings. Whether participants want to create a single work or enjoy the challenge of working on something new every day, we welcome one and all to B2MeM! :)
We also need volunteers willing to help us create banners for participants to use. If you'd like to help out with this, please see this post:

As always, I'm happy to answer any questions about how to participate. Please comment here or on
