Our June 2018 newsletter has been posted!
This edition brings you the latest news within the SWG, including a feature on our Podcast section as well as an invitation to participate in our current challenge: “Competition”. We also welcome one new SWG member who joined us during May.
This month’s biography is Gwindor of Nargothrond, by Lotrfan. Given a richer and more nuanced characterization in The Children of Húrin, Gwindor is a tenacious character who gives us insight into the lives of captives of Morgoth. The effects of his captivity haunt him as he becomes a pawn in the tragic tale of Túrin.
Looking for something new to read? Our newsletter lists all updated or completed works in our archive during this month, from poetry to multi-chapter stories, so please browse, read, and don’t forget to leave a comment. The Around the World and Web section brings you a wide collection of links to the latest articles, fandom news, challenges, conferences or events announcements from within and beyond the Tolkien fan community.
As always, this newsletter would not be possible without the contribution of several volunteers. Many thanks to this month's contributors--Lotrfan, Elleth, Angelica, and Dawn!
