Congrats to Season of Writing Dangerously Participants!

The Season of Writing Dangerously has ended this weekend, and we'd like to congratulate all of our participants: writers, artists, and cheerleaders! Whether you made your goal or not, it was exciting to see so many people dusting off old projects or embarking on new over the past three months.

If you participated in the Season of Writing Dangerously, we welcome you to commemorate your participation with a banner or icon. You can either upload one of the images below to your own storage space, or copy the code beside the image you want to use and paste it wherever HTML is acceptable.

Well, I succeeded in my goal. I wanted to expand my Helyanwe-verse - begin writing her full story. I got a Prologue and 11 chapters completed with a 12th chapter in progress, for a total of 33,854 words. I'm very happy and even though I have a long way to go with her story, and some storylines to whip into shape, I have hopes that her story will see the light eventually.

I met my goal of getting By the Light of Roses and AMC ready for ebook/PoD "publication."

I have a breakdown of wordcounts here (http://elleth.dreamwidth.org/287317.html), and actually passed my wordcount goal by a little, even though I did not make all the individual story goals, instead got side-tracked.

Some of the drabbles and short fics for finishing up B2MeM should be up as chapters of Postcards from Arda (http://www.silmarillionwritersguild.org/archive/home/viewstory.php?sid=1197) soon; and Homeward, Gathering Strength and Cartography already are.

Since my initial comment got screened (because it contains links to Dreamwidth and SWG, I suppose?) - I came away with 16084 / 15000 words, though not all of them for the projects I had pledged and some of those completely untouched. Hence, failure as well as success.

As Binka's cheerleader, I have her permission to state here that she achieved her goal of continuing her take on the Battle of Brethil. She posted the first chapter of her story "Carmina Brethilia" and did some work on the second chapter. (At an early stage, she decided not to pursue her other original goal of working on her WIP "Opiate".)
