We have a new section in our newsletter where we feature links to articles, blog/journal posts, and essays that might be of interest to the Tolkien fan community. Since the next newsletter is out next month, if you've written or read anything this month that might be of interest to fellow Tolkien fans, please share a link with us!
Our group focuses on The Silmarillion but we are all also Tolkien fans, so general Tolkien articles, essays, and posts are most welcome. (We are making one exception to this and won't be publishing links to articles about The Hobbit movies, as this will likely become overwhelming, and we will not do a better job than sites like TheOneRing.net and that are already covering this already-expansive territory.) Likewise, articles, essays, and posts relevant to fandom in general are welcome as well, as long as it is applicable to Tolkien fandom. (So an LJ post about how to handle canon "mistakes" when a new episode of a show comes out wouldn't be appropriate. An LJ post about how fandom empowers women as creators would be appropriate.)
We absolutely encourage you to promote your own writing or interesting discussions going on in your journal. Comments are screened so don't be shy!
