SWG site is down at the moment

Hi all,

Last night our host Bluehost was performing maintenance and apparently ran into a heap of troubles. The issue that arose is considered as a rare occurrence, but it did escalate since their network is experiencing issues and they haven't solved it as of yet. But they are working very hard on this; cancelling all leaves and calling in as many people as they can to get everything back up and running.

How does this affect us? Well… the SWG site is completely down and cannot be reached at the moment.

The site is back up, but please expect intermittent access and slowness until services are fully restored by our host.

Yeps, Mr Murphy strikes! No worries, I made a back-up before they performed their maintenance.

Since we don't know how long this will last, we have to wait for Bluehost letting us know when they have solved it. I am monitoring their twitter account as I type this. Once we know and the site is back up and service has returned to normal we will let you all know.

That's it for now and my apologies for the unexpected downtime.

I hope everything is soon back to normal and we can get our Silm fix :)

Well I always make frequent back ups, but the host has stressed that there was no data loss. :) It is back up, but please expect intermittent access and slowness until services are fully restored by our host.

Bless you for having the foresight to make backups. It may have come back up, but I just checked and it's back down again -- at least for me it is.

Just try again later, you can bypass your cache by using Ctrl+F5 to force your browser to fetch the page from the host' server.. But it is a known issue, or as Dawn mentioned: my sites are blinking in and out, in and out..

Oh well, at least it is back! I hope it'll recover normal functionality, too...

Meanwhile, I have discovered that the half story I wrote three years ago has disappeared without a trace. I swear I wrote it. I swear I saved it. I swear I backed it up. And yet, it is gone. Nooooo. I meant to finish it and instead I now have to start over. ;_; [/unsolicited whining]

Whoops, sorry! No, it's not on the SWG - it was unfinished after all. It should be on my laptop, in my e-mails and on the back-up server, but so far I've had no luck. >_>
