Some Reminders from Your Friendly Mod about Ongoing Projects/Discussions! :)

We have a couple things happening on the community right now that I wanted to offer some friendly reminders about!

• We still have some Season of Writing Dangerously prize requests unclaimed. If you're in the mood to write or create some art, why not stop by and claim a request and make someone's day? Requests can be claimed on this post here.



• We have two policy changes/new FAQs under discussion. We invite comments and suggestions from members and visitors to the SWG site. After all, you all are the ones who have to live with the site's rules, and while we mods do our best to meet everyone's needs, we aren't perfect! :) We have no comments so far on either proposed change, which I like to hope means that I have just become *that* good at writing policy (I've certainly had plenty of practice) but I suspect is more to do with long and boring-to-read blocks of text that no one particularly wants to wade through. ;) Still, input is appreciated. We are taking member comments for one more week, until October 15. Here is the post about image use, and here is the post about multiple accounts/pseuds.



• I will be contacting everyone who wants to help set up the satellite group on Tumblr soon. If you'd like to learn more or help out with this, here is the post about the SWG Tumblr satellite group.

I've read the posts about images and about multiple accounts.
I didn't spot any problems--although I'm not sure I'm in the best position to spot potential issues.

Thank you for reading them! We mod-types usually work through multiple drafts before putting them up for public comment (these two we've been working on for months! D^:), so I always hope there is nothing major, but we think it's very important that this group serve its members first and foremost, so we like to make sure it does work for said members. :)

Darn, the SOWD finish completely escaped my notice, with coming back from the holidays and breaking a bone in my foot two day afterwards. Thanks for the reminder!

I know that these things slip my mind sometimes and I run the darned group! :D So I figured, with everything going on, we could all use the occasional reminder!

I'm sorry to hear about your foot--ouch! I hope you are going better.

No big deal, but I couldn't sit for long at my desktop for the last two weeks, and my netbook is painfully slow which limited my overall online time considerably. It's rather vexing if you have the time in theory and can't really use it. *g*

That would be the worst for me for sure! Our principal was sick for a week last year--so sick that she couldn't even work while lying in bed. I remember thinking the inability to do anything worse than being sick!
