It's hard to place fanfic set during this time, as it might also go with the last or next chapter, but as there has only been one rec so far, I figure it can't hurt to offer some more!

First off, a classic that probably everyone knows:
Title: Another Man's Cage by Dawn Felagund (http://www.silmarillionwritersguild.org/archive/home/viewstory.php?sid=1378&index=1)
Type of Fanwork: Fanfic
Length (if applicable): 350.000+ words. Worth it!
Rating: Adult
Warnings: Mature Themes, Sexual Content, Violence
Summary: Life in the House of Fëanor during the Bliss of Valinor - the ordinary adventures, days and tensions of an extraordinary family.
Why I enjoyed it (optional): Where to start? This is one of the two fics that introduced me to the idea that fanfic could be more than just a guilty pleasure. It turned all those Finwëans from flat characters with way too similar names into actual human beings for me. And it's an engaging and sympathetic story from a time that didn't yet offer enough drama for the historians!

Then, because this is the chapter that introduces Nerdanel, some Nerdanel-centric fics are in order:

Title: Five Times That Nerdanel Said 'Yes' by Oshun (http://www.silmarillionwritersguild.org/archive/home/viewstory.php?sid=1066)
Type of Fanwork: Fanfic
Length (if applicable): 15000+ words (and counting)
Rating: Teens
Warnings: WiP; Expletive Language, mild Sexual Content
Summary: What the title says, really - snippets from Nerdanel's relationship with Fëanor, circling around the "Five Things/Times" theme.
Why I enjoyed it (optional): Because Oshun does great characterisation - she's another author who really brings those abstract characters to life for me.

Title: Changing Lights by Elleth (http://www.silmarillionwritersguild.org/archive/home/viewstory.php?sid=520)
Type of Fanwork: Fanfic
Length (if applicable):
Rating: ~1000 words
Warnings: Potential spoilers if you haven't read the Silmarillion beyond Chapter 6.
Summary: Different stages of Nerdanel's journey and the recurring choice she has to make: Yesterday, or Tomorrow?
Why I enjoyed it (optional): It's beautifully poetic, insightful and (in spite of it all) hopeful. Also makes very effective use of a B2MeM challenge.

Title: Golden Days by Lyra (http://www.silmarillionwritersguild.org/archive/home/viewstory.php?sid=443)
Type of Fanwork: Fanfic
Length (if applicable): 50000+ words (and counting)
Rating: Teens
Warnings: WiP; extremely mild Sexual Content (if nudity is sexual content for you)
Summary: A look at the development of Nerdanel's relationship with Fëanor, from chance encounter to animosity to love. I once nicknamed it "Pride and Prejudice in Valinor", and I guess that still works well enough.
Why I enjoyed it (optional): SSP.

OK, 'nuff from my side for the moment!

Title: Peculiar by Ada Kensington
Type of Fanwork: WIP (fan fiction)
Length (if applicable): 83051 words
Rating: General
Warnings: Expletive Language
Summary: Finwë is worried about Fëanor, and enlists the help of a scholar, Rúmil, to help him understand his son.
Why I enjoyed it (optional): Fascinating young Feanor plus interesting takes on canon characters and also a couple of good OCs.

Title: Sons of Finwe, by Hemhet
Type of Fanwork: Comic
Length (if applicable): in two parts
Rating: Gen
Warnings: None
Summary: "Finwë was King of the Noldor. The sons of Finwë were Fëanor, and Fingolfin, and Finarfin; but the mother of Fëanor was Míriel Serindë, whereas the mother of Fingolfin and Finarfin was Indis of the Vanyar. "
(J.R.R. Tolkien "The Silmarillion")
Why I enjoyed it (optional): Finwe's sons have their portrait painted. Watch how the painter tackles his job!

Title: Five Bells by Dawn Felagund
Type of Fanwork: short story
Length (if applicable): 1543 words
Rating: Teens
Warnings: Character Death, Mature Themes
Summary: The people of Tirion learn of Miriel's death.
Why I enjoyed it (optional): "Miriel's death is an event that casts a very long shadow in the history of the Elves and, after reading this story, it is easier to believe it could have such as disastrous consequences... Each scene is told with Dawn's customary impressive skill." (MEFA review excerpt)

Title: Of Vairë and Melkor, by Avanti_90
Type of Fanwork: ficlet
Length (if applicable): ?
Rating: Teens?
Warnings: none
Summary: When he is released he comes first to her as she sits weaving...
Why I enjoyed it (optional): Melkor unchained. He does not target the Eldar only!
