This is a long shot maybe, but I've got a 7K+ fic (rated General/Teens) that I'm hoping to get some beta-reading/editing help with.

The story is set in Valinor after Bilbo and Frodo arrive there and meet a re-embodied Gil-galad (and his parents, which includes Fingon because that's how I prefer to roll on the question of his parentage). Quite a few First Age events and characters--e.g. Hurin Thalion, Turgon, the Nirnaeth, Feanor begging Galadriel for strands of her hair--are discussed extensively, so even though it's got two LotR characters, it's as much a Silmfic in content. :)

That definitely sounds like a Silm fic. Also, sounds fascinating. I am kind of in a pinch right now. Overwhelmed by moving and writing I am not doing, which I should be doing, for the upcoming Tolkien Conference.

If no one else pops in to volunteer, I will do it though, because I really would like to read this story.

This is going to sound silly, but I'm feeling so self-conscious of this fic right now and embarrassed at what you might think of it! But your feedback has always been so encouraging and insightful so I would absolutely like to take you up on that offer, thank you so much.

There's no hurry, though--I can even wait till after the conference before sending the fic over? :) Hopefully your housing situation will be more stable by then too, and I will also, with any luck, be feeling more confident/less self-conscious. :P (Nothing like leaving a fic for a few weeks & coming back with fresh eyes, I guess.)

You can send it to me whenever you want! I just might be less distracted later. But there is always the chance that it would be a great reason to procrastinate. Not feeling very creative myself at the moment. OMG! I cannot imagine me making you feel self-conscious! Of all people! Get out of here!
