Mar. 2nd, 2016 09:10 pmThe March 2016 edition of the SWG newsletter is now available on our website.

Back to Middle-earth is here again, our tenth edition. To celebrate this anniversary, we will be revisiting all of past years’ events. There are no sign-ups, no claims, and no deadlines.
This edition features a biography of Pengolodh, possibly the most important character in The Silmarillion”, even if he was never mentioned. Loremaster, historian, and survivor of Gondolin, he is also the in-universe narrator whose efforts are responsible for bringing us much of The Silmarillion and several other important documents that define Tolkien’s world and its history.
If you are looking for new Silmarillion fanfiction to read, don’t miss this month’s list of stories completed or updated at the archive over the last few weeks. Our Around the World and Web section includes links to articles on a variety of topics, from Tolkien’s newly discovered poems to the origin of fairy tales and to fan fiction theft from ff.net, as well as announcements about fannish events going on in the Tolkien community in the near future, and calls for papers.
If you're looking for something to write, our challenges section may inspire you. This month we continue with the challenge "But I Won't Do That", and we revisit “Things We Never Said”.
Thank you to our newsletter contributors this month—Angelica, Rhapsody, Elleth, and Dawn.
We all hope you enjoy this month’s edition!
