Rec and Review a Femslash Fic That...: Is by your favorite author (B9)

I always find the question "What is your favorite?" impossible to answer, because I can never pick just one. But I don't want to skip this prompt, because it's the last day and I want to rec something. :) So I'll interpret it as "one of my favorite (femslash) authors who I haven't recced yet this week."

Finduilas, after death.

A beautiful vignette of ghostly Finduilas and living Nienor. I like how Nienor and Finduilas have that secret shared connection and can give each other comfort. This line especially is just lovely: "Here, there was still hope, and a reason to remain."

I really like the concept of this, with the Dwarves waiting deep underground until they can walk on Middle-earth. It never occurred to me to wonder what that time of waiting might be like for them. And it's good to read something about the first female Dwarves, since Tolkien only mentions the Fathers. I like the descriptions here too, such as her fingers "wide and strong like the roots of the mountain."
