Our January 2019 newsletter has been posted!

Happy New Year, SWG members and friends! This month, we wrap up our Holiday Feast challenge and begin our annual amnesty challenge. We have a few tech upgrades to announce and, most importantly, would like to welcome the many newcomers who joined us in December.

This month’s biography is Asfaloth, by Oshun. The glorious mount of Glorfindel appears to be more than a mere horse, recalling other famous steeds in the legendarium.

In the New at the Archive section you can find the full list of fanworks updated and completed in the SWG archive during December. Around the World and Web compiles a wealth of articles, news and calls for papers to stay up to speed with The Silmarillion fandom, Tolkien-related events and the fandom world at large.

Seriously, thank you thank you for doing an early announcment of the January challenge. I'd hoped it would be amnesty again and I'm pretty much dancing in my seat that it is. I already know what prompt I'll use!
