Admin Post: Announcements: Volunteer Help Needed and Challenge Stamp Collections
Feb. 27th, 2019 11:11 amVolunteer Help Needed
We are looking for volunteers to assist with the Around the World and Web section of our newsletter. Your responsibilities would include reviewing links compiled by our moderators and writing brief summaries to inform our membership about the contents of the link.
Please comment here or email me at moderator@silmarillionwritersguild.org if you'd like to help out.
Challenge Stamp Collection Updates
All stamp collections are up-to-date. If you are missing any stamps, it is a legit error at this point. Please let me know via comment or email, and I will fix it right away.
If you participate in 2019 challenges, you will receive a new collection that will replace your 2018 collection. The 2018 collection is not gone; we just replace it on profiles to keep profiles from becoming cluttered. Your 2019 collection will contain stamps linking to your previous collections. You're welcome to keep your 2018 collection displayed; just let me know that's what you want or replace the code yourself. (If you have a lot of stamps in your 2018 collection, it's best to have me do it directly in the database to avoid weird spacing.)
Shout Outs!
Finally, there are a couple of people I want to recognize from the 2018 challenge. First is
hhimring, who wrote more than 50 comments on challenge stories in 2018. Your generosity toward your fellow authors is so appreciated, Himring!
grundyscribbling was the only person to create something for every challenge in 2018. And
hhimring and
olorielmanaged to comment on a fanwork from every challenge from last year. Well done, everyone!

Date: 2019-03-02 05:36 pm (UTC)I'm feeling sort of guilty because I haven't managed to write another back-up bio yet. I've been telling myself: you can do it if only you make it short and snappy, but so far that still hasn't worked.
I think if you just put me as a back-up on the other list, the one for the web links, that might be the most realistic option, too. I'm glad you have other volunteers!
