 I have been a member of this community for a while now - and only today I thought, hey! why didn´t I ever advertise my WIP, "Full of Wisdom and Perfect in Beauty"? I have never felt up to publishing it all on LJ, but I can always paste links.

It´s a long story about the Downfall of Númenor, from the accession of Ar-Sakalthôr to Ar-Pharazôn´s Armada -hopefully. Compliant with the couple of vignettes I´ve posted here before. Full warnings inside.

I highly recommend this story. I was just catching up on it over the weekend. (It's going fast for a novel posted chapter-by-chapter,) t is really a compelling story and creative use of canon. So imaginative and appropriate to the subject matter.

BTW, what did you mean with "going fast"? That the action is going fast, or that I´m publishing the chapters fast? (Doubt it´s the second!)

Oh, thanks for the reminder! I've read the latest two chapters and possibly the first, but I haven't had time to read it the whole way through. Something to look forward to in the holidays. :)

Oh, after DH´s release she was on a TV (or radio, I don´t keep track of those details!) programme with little kids, and she asked if there was anyone who had looked at the last page as soon as he got the book. Many kids raised their hands tentatively, and she cried "How could you!" in mock anger.

I read it all last night and this morning and I love it :) I have a weakness for complex characters and political machinations and I've often wished that Tolkien had fleshed out the Akallabeth more... this tale fulfills that wonderfully. :)

Same here :) I've sometimes felt the desire to write some and the ideas take shape in my head, but I never seem to be able to actually *write* anything. Oh well. *g*
