When I was small, one of my worst fears was tornadoes ... luckily, I live in Maryland, where it's not a particularly common occurrence. This really showed quite well that small feeling of helplessness in the face of events like this. I loved the line about "a fly on the face of the world," and the imagery was superb and really brought the experience to life. Very nice! :)
