I am barely squeaking this one in on time by my time and know it is overdue for many of you--my apologies! I was away today at the Renaissance Faire with my family, doing well by the Felagund family name by donning my pointy ears and acting most Elvishly. However, that meant that I added a little extra Elf-magic when putting together this collection. ;)

This compilation is a good one--worth the wait, I hope! :) We have many excerpts and poems about clashes between powerful characters up in the compilation.

In addition, Esteliel has authored a brand new story about the clash between Glorfindel and the Balrog:

Shadow and Flame

"Do Something That's Never Been Done" is the next theme up! The due date is technically today (the 14th), so if you have an older work that you want included and haven't sent, please send it asap! (Since I am late in posting, I will be forgiving of lateness on this one. ;) After that is "Heroes and Antiheroes," with the due date on the 16th for older works. Please remember that there is no due date for new works created for the themes. If you have a piece created for any of the themes we've posted so far, it is welcome at any time, and I will add it.

This collection has a lot of really good work in it! (You know, I think I say that about all of them. I think I said it about both "Who?" and "Numenorean Queens" too! :D) I haven't read Esteliel's story yet except the glimpses I got while doing the HTML for the page, but I am very much looking forward to it. :)

Ack--posted comment before I got your edit! :D I had to have Bobby take that picture of me. It was just too perfect this morning, working on SWG stuff while dressed like an Elf. I felt like such a nerd! :D

OME, I wear my red cloak all the time! Actually, Bobby and I are getting ready to go unwind in the backyard with a glass of wine. It's chilly tonight, so I'll have my cloak on for sure. ;) I wear it out sometimes too and get weird looks, but it's really nice to wrap up in. (It was great when Bobby was playing hockey and I didn't want to freeze my ass off--literally! Those metal bleachers were cold! :D)

Thank you, Roisin! *hugs back* I did enjoy it, although it made me very sleepy! :D

I am just getting started with cloaks. I have my red one that I adore, and my laurel bought me a green one made of lighter material for Twelfth Night last year. All it needs is a clasp. Cloaks are like clothing and a blanket in one. (Oh gods. It just occurred to me that they're the original Snuggie!)

Bobby and I love that movie too and often sing the song, although the only line we know is "The Inquisition!" so we sing that and then sing the melody without words.

Bobby, my laurel, and I often laugh at the notion of a Snuggie Shamwow--a Snuggie made out of Shamwow cloths--the marriage of silly TV infomercial products! It's a blanket with sleeves that can absorb ten times its weight in water! :D
