Seeking Links to Discussions and Articles of Interest to Tolkien Fans!

In our most recent newsletter, we announced a new section in the newsletter for links to discussions and articles of interest to Tolkien fans. You can our first collection of links here!

Well, in about a week, we'll be working on the next newsletter, so I wanted to remind everyone and see if anyone had any links to share. Please do send links to posts or discussions on your own journal as well! Although the first collection of links is to outside articles, we very much welcome links to discussions being hosted by Tolkien fans themselves. I've screened comments since I know some people are shy about self-promotion. :)

What are we looking for? Basically, any post, article, or discussion that would be of interest to the Tolkien fan community. Of course, posts/discussions about Tolkien's works are obvious examples of something we'd like to share, but posts/discussions about fandom or writing/art in general are welcome too, as long as they're relevant to the Tolkien fan community. For example, a link to an essay about how OFCs are perceived by readers in fan fiction would be a link we'd share, even if it wasn't about the Tolkien fandom specifically. A link to an essay about how OFCs are perceived by readers in the Twilight fandom wouldn't be appropriate for our purposes.

Fyi, we peruse Middle-earth News, theOneRing.net, and the OTW as a matter of course, so if you know of something linked there, you're welcome to share (just so we don't overlook it!), but we should hopefully have those covered.

I assume you don't need to be told about the non-fiction entries for the August challenge at the LOTR Genfic community either?

The new section is a brilliant idea. Thank you very much. The interview with Christopher Tolkien is pure gold, and I suggest that you archive the text.
