Call for Links for June's Newsletter
May. 27th, 2013 12:42 pmEvery month, our newsletter includes a section for links to interesting discussions and resources related to Tolkien's world and fandom. I haven't posted in a while to request links, and our list is beginning to dwindle a bit as a result. (Please note, also, that you can always email links to us to include in the newsletter at moderator@silmarillionwritersguild.org.)
What kinds of links do we collect? Anything relevant to understanding Tolkien's books or relevant to the fandom surrounding these books. Articles, essays, blog posts, journal entries, discussions, resources, forum posts ... any and all are welcome. Links should be accessible to the public (i.e., not friends-locked or requiring a login to access.) Although we are a Silmarillion archive, we post links relevant to all aspects of Tolkien's world.
We absolutely encourage self-promotion! Comments to this post are screened, so if you're shy about promoting your own work, no one beyond the group mods will know that you suggested the link. Of course, links to other people's articles and posts are more than welcome as well.
We sometimes don't post links right away if they're not time-sensitive. So if you have suggested a link in the past and we haven't posted it, it's on our list to post in the future, during a month when we are short on links or when it is especially relevant to something going on in the group that month. Thanks to all who have suggested links in the past!
