Title: Full Brothers in Blood (http://www.silmarillionwritersguild.org/archive/home/viewstory.php?sid=269)
Type of Fanwork: Fanfic
Length (if applicable): 4000 words
Rating: General
Warnings: None
Summary: Young Fingon and Turgon in Valinor. Multi-generational family dinner. (this is my summary, not the author's.)
Why I enjoyed it (optional): I just love this author. Her Turgon is very funny and endearing. This story presents the complexities and strife in the House of Finwe very well, especially with so few words.

Still pretty empty here! Oh well, I'm sure there'll be a lot more for the upcoming chapters...

Title: Hearts Like the Sea by IgnobleBard (http://www.silmarillionwritersguild.org/archive/home/viewstory.php?sid=263) I like call it his pre-history Quendi story.
Characters: Círdan, Elu Thingol
Type of Fanwork: short story
Length (if applicable): 7,000
Rating: Adult
Warnings: Sexual Content--Moderate
Summary: An adventurous Elwe (Thingol) and lonely Nowe (Cirdan) form a friendship before the First Age.
Why I enjoyed it (optional): The tone conveys the sense of early years after the awakening at Cuiviénen. His descriptions of culture and daily life before the first sundering is fascinating. Cirdan is already obsessed with the mechanics of sailing and water on shores of the bay of the inland Sea of Helcar. Young Thingol already has the makings of a future leader.
