February 2016 Newsletter
Feb. 3rd, 2016 09:04 pmThe February 2016 edition of the SWG newsletter is now available on our website.
http://www.silmarillionwritersguild.org/news/february2016.php
February brings us updates on our tenth B2MeM event, some information on the glitches you may have noticed in the archive, as well as a warm welcome to the new SWG members who have joined our community since our previous newsletter.
This edition features a biography of Nahar, Oromë's mighty steed, "white in the sun, and shining silver at night" as the Vala rode through the forests of Middle-earth..
If you have cravings for new Silmarillion fanfiction, don’t miss this month’s list of stories completed or updated at the archive over the last few weeks. Our Around the World and Web section includes links to articles on a variety of topics, from Elves in Anglo-saxon Manuscripts to Lothíriel, as well as announcements about fannish events going on in the Tolkien community in the near future (including B2MeM 2016), and calls for papers.
If you're looking for something to write, our challenges section may inspire you. This month we continue with the challenge "But I Won't Do That", and we revisit “It’s all in the Numbers”.
Thank you to our newsletter contributors this month—Oshun, Angelica, Rhapsody, Elleth, and Dawn.
We hope you enjoy this month’s edition!
