Also, I'm really loving the Crack Pairings card, but do you know how difficult it is to write a scene where both characters not only use the same pronouns but have the same name? :P Here's my snippet:
“They will have their part also in what is to come; but this choice has come to you, and not to them.”
“And what is the choice?”
“To stay, or to go. Ulmo’s power still defends the waters, and Uinen cherishes the House of Dol Amroth. If you stay here, they will protect you. Yet your part in the battle against the Enemy will be lesser, and you will not do him the harm that he fears.”
“And if I go?”
“You will stand against the Enemy, losing little by little and fighting a long defeat. Ulmo and Uinen will protect you still, as much as they can; but their power is weaker far from the Sea. And the hatred of the Enemy will be upon you. But if you stand--if the City stands--then Hope will yet come unlooked-for, and dwell there. The line of the Kings will be renewed, and the White Tree will grow again in Minas Tirith.”
Finduilas was silent for few moments. She knew in her heart, with the foresight of her line, that the Elf-maid’s words were true. She knew also what her choice must be, but she needed a brief time, while the waves splashed against the shore and withdrew, and the crying of gulls came to her on the wind.
