I love this. And I love that I can see both of your styles here, melded into one singular awesomeness.

The art, of course, is beautiful, with such lovely twilit colors. (And young!Mablung in a strappy T! Omg! Things I never would have imagined but have now become canon for me.) The story is sweet, the connection with the big event going on across the world fitting and sad, since we know how this story arc, seen here at its very beginning, will end. And the humorous touches--I see you, Binka! The apple core you left so you could be found. :D

The two of you should definitely collaborate more often. <3

I really like this! I like the shades of blue and purple -- it's beautiful to look at, and seems very appropriate for Middle-earth under the stars -- and Mablung as a boy climbing around in trees. And excellent dramatic irony at the end.

Oooh! Intriguing, and beautifully done! Poor Mablung doesn't seem too enthusiastic about leaving. Are you planning to turn this into a longer story? You've got me all hyped for Mablung's youthful adventures in Ossiriand now... :D
