Title: The Wanderer
Author: Lyra
Rating: Gen
Warnings: n/a
Summary: Since Maglor never officially died, it's fair to assume that he continued to wander the shores of the world. Here he is in the Anglo-Saxon age, somewhat down on his luck...
A/N: Inspired by the Anglo-Saxon lament "The Wanderer" and the mysterious York Sapphire Ring from the Museum prompts. I love the idea that it’s a trace of Maglor wandering through the ages, losing (or bartering) his ring at some time during the early Middle Ages… of course, you can barely see it in the painting, but it’s supposed to be there! Also a contribution to B2MeM and Fëanorian Week.

Title: Wedding Vows
Author: Lyra
Rating: Gen
Warnings: n/a
Summary: We don't know anything about the marriage of Caranthir except that he was married at some point. Here's a snapshot from the wedding ceremony.
A/N: In my fic "The Tempered Steel" we catch a glimpse at the courtship of Caranthir and the loremaster and geographer Tamurillë. I wanted to write a short piece to accompany this, but I won't be able to finish it before the deadline, so for the time being, the pic has to stand on its own. Inspired by the gorgeous wedding clothes from the prompt list: Caranthir's robe, Tamurillë's gown (yeah, I changed the colour), and two of these amazing circlets. Also a Fëanorian Week response.

I love both of these!

Aw, I like down on his luck Anglo-Saxon Maglor. I love that idea too, about the ring. It does look very Feanorian! I like how you have the ring as that one gleam of bright color when the rest of his outfit is subdued and ragged. It give him the proper air of mystery. I also like how the folds of his cloak echo the waves.

The wedding outfits are really gorgeous. I love the embroidery and Caranthir's amazing necklace and those wonderful circlets and the fancy braids in their hair. I like their expressions, too! They look affectionate and they also have a lot of personality.

I love them.
I need to refresh my memories of Tamurille. I remember liking her, but the details have faded a bit.
