"I have never heard anything so ridiculous in all my life! Jumping around in the main square with swords drawn and swearing by Eru himself!" Maglor's wife had just been told about the oath, and she was not amused.
"I'm very sorry dear," said Maglor, "I shouldn't have promised to go to Middle-earth without discussing it with you first."
"I should think not! Formenos was bad enough, but Middle-earth? How do you even plan to get there? I don't know if you noticed, but there's an ocean between here and there!"
"I'm sure Daddy will think of something..."
"Don't you mention that fool of a father of yours around me! The way he drools over his Silmarils is sickening. I wouldn't be surprised if he cares more for those baubles than for his own children and grandchildren!"
"Well actually he does," said Maglor, "but don't tell anyone I said that, particularly not Curufin."
"If you must go to Middle-earth," said Maglor's wife, "you should learn to defend yourself properly before you go."
"I'm perfectly capable of defending myself!" cried Maglor, feeling rather offended.
"Oh, you're competent enough at archery, but I've seen the ridiculous way you wave your sword around when you don't think anyone is looking. It isn't a violin bow!"
"It is not ridiculous, and besides, what do you know about sword-fighting? If you're so worried about me, why don't you come too?"
"I can't do that! Who would look after the children?"
"They're both more than fifty - they can look after themselves."
"Very well then; I'll come, but only if you promise to keep well away from your father and brothers. They are menaces to the community, especially the three red-haired ones, the blond one, the red-faced one and the one that looks like your father."
"If you're going to talk about my family like that, I think I'd prefer it if you stayed behind. You can go to live with my mother and my step-grandmother!"
"So that you can call me a traitor and gain your father's sympathy? I think not."
"Then live with your own mother or stay in this house! I don't care what you do, but I will not disown my father and brothers just because you dislike them!"
"As you wish! Good riddance, I say. May you rot in Middle-earth forever!" Maglor's wife stormed off, and they did not meet again.

LMAO!
And hey! If we find it... let's agree on telling each other straight away ok? I know the feeling that you read it somewhere... but where...
