silwritersguildI joined the com earlier today, and I'm glad to find a place where Silm fics are written and discussed. This is the first fic I wrote for the ![[profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)

She had thought the void empty, but the darkness is alight. Flame moves within shadow, fire and night entwine. There is silence amid the roar of the flames, her screams will not echo. Tongues of fire reach out towards her, heat like a furnace scorches her. Wraithlike, she flees.
Two eyes like glowing coals note her passing.
She flees through space and shadow, running until she cannot remember why. Night claims her. When she awakes, darkness wreathes her, yet two points of light flicker above. Hopeful, she tilts her face upwards. Yet it is not the stars she sees, but eyes like fiery orbs, and she can feel their heat on her face while their smoke hides her past, their embers scorch her present, and their flames burn her future…
Then all is truly void.
